Cat friends probably remember our Felixa from the Princessa Yaiza carpark station. As it appeared she was a missing cat from Macher but appeared accidentally in Playa Blanca at the carpark of hotel Princessa Yaiza. The owner used to work at Princessa Yaiza hotel as a heardresser and believed that Felixa might have travelled in or under her car unnoticed . Her owner was looking for her in area of Macher for two years and feared the worse. Then after the lockdown the owner’s daughter went to Playa Dorada beach and saw a cat there looked like their missing cat. The owner drove to Princessa Yaiza carpark to check out.
As volunteers we know our cats and the cats know us. We were surprised that Felixa did not come to us when we were calling her and was sitting by a strange woman who did not have any treats or food to entice her. The woman said that she used to have Felixa as her kitty since was a kitten for five years, called Lilo and showed old pictures. The markings were unmistakeable that our Felixa was her Lilo, and the cat recognized her owner immediately. We let Felixa go home with her owner and checked on her in two days time. First night at home Felixa/Lilo was sleeping, cuddling up to her owner and after a few days she was fully at home, recognised her old friend dog chihuahua and is very happy, getting fat and having all love and attention. After two long years the family is back together thanks to all volunteers who looked after Felixa/Lilo!
